TARIBOR- The leader of Odigbo Local Government legislative house in Ondo State Rt. Hon. Akiuro Dayo have pledged to present and sponsor a bill tailored towards the development of Tubutoru Kingdom, an Ijaw speaking Clan in the State.

Hon. Emmanuel made the call on Thursday in an interview with Gbaramatu Voice Newspaper while reacting to the coronation ceremony of the new monarch of the Kingdom, Pere Gbebokedi D. Ajiri-Oba, Oguruyeke, Okirimini 1 of Tubutoru Kingdom.

The leader decried the high level of underdevelopment that have engulfed the traditional headquarters of the Kingdom, Taribo community, stressing that his support towards the development of the Kingdom will be total, he maintains that such fit will be achieved by working in collaboration with the Chairman of the Council and the Councilor representing Ebijoh Ward on the Council, Hon. Ayebi Oteigha who is also the Chief whip of Odigbo legislative house.

The lawmaker, however congratulated the new Monarch of the Kingdom, alleging that the legislature under his leadership will work closely with the traditional stool and other relevant authorities to put smile on the faces of the people.

Hon. Akiuro Dayo further vows to visit the grossly abandoned St. Timothy Primary School in Taribo community with a view of resuscitating it.

“When we got here, I discovered that things are not the way they are supposed to be because many roads are still dilapidated. As it is, I feel the government of Ondo State, under the leadership of Governor Olusegun Mimiko has done excellently here, but I feel there are still some area’s the government still need to put some things in place, like the issue of electricity and other things, nevertheless, the government have really performed wonderfully well here.

“Like I said during our inauguration, the development and the progress of this community is our priority, because to some extent the electorates has reposed some confidence in us. On this note, it has always been the agenda of the legislative house, under my leadership to contribute to the development of this local government at large, and I think it is very fundamental for the development to be extended to this level. On this note, a bill that will be channeled towards the upliftment and development of this kingdom is going to be presented and sponsored at the floor of the house. Be rest assured that it is going to be well accepted and passed into a bylaw. On this note, we are going to ensure, with the influence of Hon. Oteigha, the Chairman of this local government and the influence of other leaders in the council , we shall ensure that development is extended to this area.

“Of course I am very glad to be here, having seen the kind of development in this area, I feel it is my pleasure to be here on behalf of the entire legislature. On this note, I am very excited to be part of this historic event and I am going to ensure that the kingdom as a whole is been transcend to development. We are very glad to be part of this. Once again, I want to congratulate His Royal Majesty on his coronation as the paramount ruler of this kingdom.

“Education is the best legacy you can lay form your children. If not because of education I may not be here today, so on this note, after the ceremony, we shall not hesitate to visit the primary school, to go and see what is happening there. During my inauguration, like I said the other time, education should be the immediate priority. Be rest assured that when I get to the council, that school, the current condition of that school will be tabled before the house at large and the council is going to take appropriate measure, to put that structure on ground so that the people of this kingdom can benefit immensely from that project.

“Of course promise is a debt which you must pay, so, on that note, haven’t seen the current situation of things in this place, I am promising that appropriate step is going to be tabled before the council, before the legislatures, and appropriate measure is going to be tailored towards assuring or bringing development to this kingdom, based on the aforementioned issues that have been alighted.” The leader stated.
