Warri South West: We Must Unite For Progress – Hon. Akemotubo

WARRI – Hon. Arex Akemotubo, a PDP Chieftain in Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, has asserted that, now is the time for the people of Warri South West to team up so as to “cement a generational legacy of good governance.”

Counselling aspirants for the constituency’s house of assembly seat while endorsing Mr. Emomotimi Guwor, Hon. Akemotubo said: “With uttermost respect to all aspirants vying to represent Warri South West constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, we need someone with strong reputation and a guru of proven track record.

“This person should be a prime philanthropist; a prime innovator and a prime technocrat; someone with developmental master plan whose blueprint is to industrialize Warri South West and fully implement bills that are ambitious in renegotiation of our binding values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, unity and our unique multicultural heritage to boost sustainable economic development.

“While each of us will pursue our own individual dreams, we are Warri South West; irrespective of our tribes, we rise or fall together as one family and as one people.”

Going further, he stressed: “The House of Assembly position in Warri South West belongs to the young women and men working day and night on new ideas that will create opportunities and change our economic indices.

“This election, we, the Warri South West people, should use it to demonstrate to the world that, peace is the only panacea that will change our economic woes. We must remind ourselves that while our road has been hard, while our journey has been long, we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back, and we know in our hearts that for Warri South West Local Government, the best is yet to come.

“It is on this note, I rise to endorse Emomotimi Guwor for Delta State House of Assembly to represent Warri South West Constituency because he is in my generation and I have no doubt that he will deliver the future.

“Guwor has the clout and charisma to propagate bills as a lawmaker and militate development as lawmaker’s oversight function.

“This is not to say that the crop of men vying for the House of Assembly are not qualified; as a matter of fact these men have all paid their dues but I humbly ask that they all rally around Mr. Guwor.”
