Warri South LGA dissolves revenue committees

Warri South Local Government Council in Delta State has dissolved all revenue committees for 2019. 

While thanking members of the 2019 revenue committees for their service and dedication, Dr. Michael Tidi enjoined members of the committees to handover the relevant council documents in their possession to the relevant authorities in the council with immediate effect.

The Warri South Council Boss advised residents of Warri not to deal with any revenue agent(s) forthwith, pending the constitution of revenue committees for next year, 2020. 

Dr. Tidi, stressed the need for people of Warri South Local Government to ensure strict compliance, to avoid multiple taxation, warning that anyone caught collecting revenue before the constitution of 2020 revenue committees, will face the full weight of the law.

The dissolution is sequel to approval by the council executive, after a crucial meeting held Tuesday, November 19, at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Tidi, who made the disclosure shortly after the exco meeting, stated that the dissolution takes effect from today, Tuesday, November 19.
