Warri of our dream will soon be unveiled – Otuaro

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro has disclosed that Warri with great dream will soon be unveiled, noting that the perennial flooding issues in the Warri metropolis will become a thing of the past, GbaramatuVoice reports. 

“The major flood control and storm protection works been carried out by His Excellency, in addition to strict environmental law enforcement, the perennial flooding issues in the Warri metropolis will become a thing of the past, unveiling the Warri of our dream.”

Otuaro in the spirit of pearl age, Delta at 30 who joined a host of speakers and hundreds of Youths on August 28, 2021, at the Aspire Global Conference (AGC2021) in WARRI made this known while addressing youths on a critical subject; Governance of the Future emphasizing on inclusivity and driving active youth participation in politics and economic development.

Otuaro said every one of us has God-given potentials for greatness and life is like an enterprise/business.

“Every one of us has God-given potentials for greatness and life is like an enterprise/business and how much we maximize it depends on our readiness to discover the unseated potentials of God in us.

“Process the gifts and commercialize them to create social impact and economic value – that is what makes life a most rewarding experience.”

He said definition phenomenon of success of any man is that same man having a need and doing all his parts to meet that need. He noted that nothing is impossible for anyone determined to achieve greatness.

He narrated how he grew up from the creek and navigated the difficult riverine terrain by getting involved in leadership and pursuing public and humanitarian services; among others which contributed to his success today.

The Deputy Governor who said he spent nine years on the street before going to the University in good, bad and ugly, shared in their ordeal of not lack of support and encouraged them not to shy away from politics, rather be part and parcel of what the government is doing especially by looking for opportunities from government programs and intervention.

“Everyone has his or her socialization processess and that have to do with your environment and the people you have communicated with or associated with.

“You are the product of the books you read, and the people you come across,” he said.

He explained how STEP, YAGEP, GEST, and RYSA is transforming the lives of hundreds of youths in the State raising them from job seekers to employers of labor, addressing the sore employment gap.

His excellency, promised that the event will soon become a routine activity to ensure the strength of the youth meets with the wisdom of the elders especially for repositioning Warri to truly represent its position as the economic nerve center of the State.

However the youths narrated their stories, accomplishing extraordinary feats amidst very tight economic and social conditions in entertainment and business. They also expressed their frustration for lack of support.
