By Shina Badmus

Fomer Governor of Delta State and APC Senatorial Candidate in the just concluded general elections, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has been invited to give the maiden lecture at the Professor B. I. C Ijomah Centre for Policy Studies and Research, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

In an invitation letter signed by the Director of the Centre, Professor Egodi Uchendu, the Management of the University of Nigeria stated that the nomination of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, as the first Guest Lecturer of the Centre’s maiden ‘DR. EMMANUEL EWETA UDUAGHAN ANNUAL PUBLIC LECTURE’ was premised on his sterling performance as two-term Governor of Oil-rich Delta State and his preternatural disposition to peace as the understructure for a development-driven society.

The letter read in part, “The Vice Chancellor has gone ahead and graciously established “Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan Annual Public Lecture” for the Centre. I have also been appointed the Director of the Centre.

“Your Excellency, Sir, it will highly be appreciated if you will deliver the maiden lecture of “Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan Annual Public Lecture,” on any topic of your choice, on Tuesday, 9 April 2019, at the Princess Alexandria Auditorium (PAA).”
