DISSOCIATE TOMPOLO FROM AVENGERS, BEBENIMIBO SPARKS.

*Described allegation as voodoo

The media consultant to former militant leader, Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo have maintained its stance that his boss have nothing to do with the activities of Niger Delta Avengers.

The spokesperson for the warlord, Comr. Paul Bebenimibo who was also fingered as a sponsor of the economically dangerous group dismissed the allegation through a Press statement yesterday while describing it as wicked and malicious.

A splinter group that identified themselves as the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers, RNDA, had earlier mentioned prominent individuals as sponsors and operators of the NDA, the group mentioned former president Jonathan, Tompolo, Chief Edwin Clark, Kingsley Kuku, Engr. Udengs Eradiri, Madueke, Raymond Dokpesi and several others.

The statement pinpointed that Tompolo have severally distanced himself from the group that have unleash untold devastating havoc on Oil and gas facilities, thus bringing the country’s economy to a lamentable state.

It read, “My initial decision was to ignore the said report as a result of the source and the bogus nature of the story, however, in order to set the records straight, I decided to write to dissociate my boss and myself from that wicked and malicious report. As for my boss, he has made it abundantly clear in many occasions that he has nothing to do with the Niger Delta Avengers.

“I wish to advise the Nigerian government to look for better ways to resolve the Niger Delta problem, and not to continue to compound the issue by relaying on voodoo means to resolve the issue, like this particular report which could be liken as a voodoo report. If a people, that is the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers have claimed to part ways with the NDA, after destroying almost all the oil facilities in the Niger Delta region, and turn around to claim that they have repented and mentioned some people as sponsors and operatives of the NDA, then the government and people of this country need to know such people (RNDA) and treat them accordingly, and not the responsible Nigerians they mentioned as sponsors and operatives.”

The statement added “I wish to advise the Nigerian government to look for better ways to resolve the Niger Delta problem, and not to continue to compound the issue by relaying on voodoo means to resolve the issue, like this particular report which could be liken as a voodoo report. If a people, that is the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers have claimed to part ways with the NDA, after destroying almost all the oil facilities in the Niger Delta region, and turn around to claim that they have repented and mentioned some people as sponsors and operatives of the NDA, then the government and people of this country need to know such people (RNDA) and treat them accordingly, and not the responsible Nigerians they mentioned as sponsors and operatives.

“Presently, I am afraid of my life. I want to urge the present administration to be serious with human life as it is the primary duty of any government to provide security for the citizens. The use of miscreants to implicate genuine Nigerians is a dangerous trend in this country now, as such people are likely to surfer for what they do not know anything about. Therefore the government should investigate some of these claims seriously to avoid miscarriage of judgement.”

Bebenimibo also threatened legal actions against people he alleged to have wanting to kill him of what he know nothing about.
