ROYAL VISIT: Pere of Gbaramatu to visit Arogbo-Ijaw kingdom for Agadagba coronation tomorrow

…To preach peaceful coexistence among Ijaws

As part of his royal responsibilities, His Imperial Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Pere of Gbaramatu kingdom, will in the early hours of Monday, 25th June, 2018 visit Arogbo-Ijaw Kingdom in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, for the coronation ceremony of the new Agadagba of the Kingdom.

This was contained in a statement dated Sunday, 24th June, 2018, signed and issued by Chief Kestin Pondi, the Ibe-Benemowei of Gbaramatu.

According to the release, His Majesty who is expected to travel with his entourage will join other traditional rulers for the coronation ceremony.

The statement further added that the Pere while in the community as an ambassador of peace will use the opportunity provided by the visit to preach peaceful coexistence among the Ijaws in the state and the entire nation as a whole.

As reported by our correspondent, who formed part of the Pere’s advance team, the town is already agog and expectations heightened with the news that Pere of Gbaramatu kingdom will be visiting the community.
