Record Label signs Niger Delta artistes

Pinaza Records, a Lagos-based record label company has signed four music artistes that include Lizberg, Darlingid, Shanky Grey and Vhino Kama.

At the official signing which took place on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the BK Lounge, KFT Place, Warri, Delta State, the firm said it had to do this to add to its growing label.

Some high profile personalities were in attendance to bear witness to the event.

The CEO, Pinaza Records, Chief Azaiye Piniki, who spoke to GbaramatuVoice during the event, said that the label was a platform that is going to push these talented artistes to stardom.  

He added that the label was aimed at promoting talented youths from the Niger Delta region to compete with their counterparts globally in the music Industry. 

The CEO narrated that the idea for the record label came to him during a local show and he was moved at the performance by the local artistes who had no one to promote them.

According to him, “This idea was borne at a time I went to the village for a Christmas show. At the show, I saw these talents, they came out to perform.

“When they performed, it was something else. I saw talent in them and I said to myself, ‘what can  I do to promote these talents?’. And that brought about my vision of the Pinaza Record Label.

“I decided to pick them up and groom them so that they have a platform to showcase their talent to the world.

The Pinaza Records boss also disclosed that the artistes wouldn’t just sit idol after their signing as the label had a lot of programmes lined up for them. 

Senior Special Assistant on Politics to the Delta State Government, Comrade Arex Akemotubo during the event, said that the record label was one that needs to be commended and emulated for their effort in promoting artistes from the Niger Delta region.

He said, “Overtime, it is always very difficult to have people that are interested in promoting talents. But what Pinaza Records is doing is worth emulating.”

The Manager of the label, Mr. Darlington Isiayei also added that it was their goal to promote artistes from the Niger Delta, as they have a lot to offer.

“When you see our you will know we are ready for business and we actually want to export artist from the Niger Delta,” he said.

The artistes expressed excitement over what they called ‘a dream come through’. One of the artistes whose name is Lizberg, said he was happy for what has happened to him. 

He disclosed that he had always aspired for an opportunity to showcase what he had to offer to the world and the Pinaza Records Label has provided him with the opportunity.

He said, “I am very very happy now. This is something I have always prayed for and I must say it has come to pass.”
