Promotion of peace, education; our core concern-GYC President

—Rancour among youths now a thing of the past

The President of Gbaramatu Youth Council, GYC Worldwide, Barr. Christopher Wuruyai has declared that propagation of peace and promotion of quality education among youths in Gbaramatu Kingdom will be the primary focus of the council under his watch.

Barr. Christopher stated this in an interview with GbaramatuVoice recently at Oporoza town, traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu kingdom.

According to him, with the truce reached among different youth faction and his subsequent election as the GYC President Worldwide, disunity and rancour have become a thing of the past.

He added that, “it is time to build bridges of unity among the youths in Gbaramatu and environs as well as establish formidable interface among youths the world over so that they can learn and exchange ideas.

He further remarked that the organization will within few weeks to come unfold plans as well as strategies for building synergies between them, the government agencies and other development groups that will help to reduce the hostilities in the region occasioned by youthful exuberance.

Earlier in his remark, the Gbaramatu kingdom born legal practitioner announced that bickering and division witnessed in the time past will no longer reoccur as the group has sorted out the gray areas and that has made them stronger.

He finally advised all to put the interest of the kingdom first at all time. While encouraging the youths also to live in peace and harmony, the president opined that they can achieve this by showing mutual respect for one another.

It could be recalled that different youths organizations within the Gbaramatu Kingdom were very recently involved in supremacy tussle and that resulted in the banning of youths related activities in the kingdom.
