Pipeline Surveillance: How Tantita, Tompolo’s dedication is improving Nigeria’s economy

By GbaramatuVoice Editorial Board

Looking at the volume of intelligence reports dispatched that have led to shocking discoveries, and progress made curbing crude oil theft in the Niger Delta region, the GbaramatuVoice believes that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), took a right decision awarding the Pipeline Surveillance contract to Tantita Security Services Limited – an organization where High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, a former leader of the defund Movement for The Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), has a vested interest.

The above claim is predicated on the fact that as a media organization desirous of seeing peace and sustainable development in the Niger Delta region, we have independently monitored the operation by Chief Tompolo and his men.

In Delta state, GbaramatuVoice watched in awe how Tompolo’s men and Government security forces trekked many kilometers inside the creeks and other parts of the deadly marshy mangrove forest, detecting points of diversion of crude by oil thieves who before now used sophisticated signatures to ply their illicit trades.

Also in Rivers and Bayelsa states, the story of sterling performance resonates. The once dreaded Nembe Creek Trunk Line where crude oil thieves operated freely without restraints, is now perfectly secured by Tantita Security personnel.

Specifically, all the crude oil pipelines in Bayelsa state, which was formally invaded at will by crude oil thieves has now been adequately secured by Tantita well coordinated security personnel.

The newspaper also watched with excitement how Tompolo security personnel work till about midnight – crisscrossing the mangrove swamp to ensure quality delivery.

Without doubt, the newspaper believes that the level of commitment so far demonstrated by Tompolo, has shown a man that is not comfort-centred, hypocritical or self-deceptive. Instead of moving away from the problem, we have seen Chief Tompolo move towards the problem with solution-centred possibilities that have never existed.

GbramatuVoice can authoritatively report that each passing day, Tantita as an organization and Chief Government as an individual become more proactive, intentional, optimistic, persistent, investing more energy towards the success of the project.

Also, from the newspaper’s vantage assessment of the unfolding situation, the following distinctions could be drawn.

First, we are sure that in no distant time, the impact of Tompolo’s effort in the creeks will reflect on the nation’s economy and energize the collective wellbeing of Nigerians as crude oil production in the country will definitely increase and save the nation’s economy from looming collapse.

Secondly, the Newspaper holds the opinion that Tompolo’s dedication to the contract goes beyond financial consideration, gratification or gain. It exemplifies someone with an undying love for his nation.

Thirdly and very important, it is not within our preview to announce the number of arrests made or Illegal refining camps captured and destroyed. But all the Newspaper can say at the very moment without fear of contradiction is that the project is moving as envisaged and yielding results.

The nation is making progress!!!
