A peace walk was held in honor of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo in various cities in the Niger Delta, including Warri in Delta State on Tuesday, April 12, to mark his 51st birthday anniversary.

The walk took place simultaneously in major cities across the Niger Delta.

Dressed in all-white outfits, participants were seen holding a banner explaining what they were celebrating with drummers and trumpeters playing popular tunes as they walked around major parts of the cities.

Motorists were left with no option but to make way for them.

High Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo is one of the advocates for the emancipation of the Niger Delta. His activities, alongside others, contributed immensely to the increment of the derivation fund given the Niger Delta by the Federal Government, the creation of the NDDC, Ministry of the Niger Delta, Presidential Amnesty Programme, etc.
