Otuaro visits Oguma, reiterates Okowa-led govt’s stance to develop Delta

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro has assured Deltans that the Okowa-led government will continue to fasttrack even development to all Deltans. 

In a statement by Doris Warri Aboh, SSA Media, Office of the Deputy Governor, January 8, in Asaba, Otuaro, who paid  a visit to  Chief John  Oguma, a Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) stalwart in  his country home, Ovwor-Olomu, at Ughelli-South Local Government Area of Delta State, assured the mammoth crowd of PDP faithful who thronged the venue to receive him that their government was committed to the deepening of even development already recorded in all parts of the state in line with the “stronger Delta Vision.” 

The Deputy Governor pointed out that “Chief Oguma who is the Chairman and Managing Director of Obakpor Engineering Company Limited has contributed immensely to the development of the state through quality network of road projects and the progress of the party in the state.

Barr Otuaro, who was overwhelmed by the warm reception accorded him and his entourage, applauded Chief Oguma for his gesture and his profound effort in the construction of the Obotobo 22.5km Obotobo 1,2,3 and the Yokri road projects in Ogulagha kingdom 

The Deputy Governor said, “To do that was not a small feat to achieve,  judging from the difficult terrain. The movement of materials,  equipment and personnel to Ogulagha Kingdom which is in the Atlantic Ocean was not an easy task. But Chief Oguma company  was able to deliver quality projects to the government and the community.

“I was particularly worried for him because of the difficult terrain, to God be the glory the company did a fantastic job and the projects were successfully executed.”

Chief Oguma also commended the governor of the state for fasttracking development across every parts of the state just as he appraised Otuaro and his team for the visit to celebrate the festive period with him and members of his family, as he recalled  the processes of the construction  of the 22.5km Obotobo 1,2,3 and Yokri projects in Ogulagha kingdom in spite of the difficult terrain, assuring that he will continue to deliver quality jobs that will stand the text of time.

The duo of Mr Onome Ojo, PDP Chairman, Ethiope West,  and Chief David Oghenekevwe, PDP Chairman Sapele Local Government councils respectively, who fielded questions from journalists at the event,  commended Governor Okowa and his God-fearing deputy who has transformed the state with even development. 

They prayed that God will continue to guide and keep them in good health for them to do more for Delta State,  while enjoining all Deltans to rally round and support them for more good  things to happen in the state in the years ahead.

Dr Joseph Ubrurhe,  the Secretary to the Ughelli-South council who was also  in attendance at the event, commended Otuaro for the visit.
