OKOWA TO PRESENT STAFF OF OFFICE TO PERE OF KABOWEI KINGDOM

Aketekpe, Dickson, Otuaro, others to attend ceremony

Following the selection and subsequent coronation of His Royal Majesty, Peremobowei Shedrack Erebulu,  Aduo III, in August 2017 by the Kabowei Council of Chiefs as the new Pere of Kabowei Kingdom, all is now set for the presentation of his staff of office.

The memorable ceremony is to be performed by no other person than the “SMART” Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on Monday, 23 October 2017, at the Pere’s palace.

A statement signed by Hon. Tonye Timi Ph.D, Chairman of the Central Working Committee for the event and the Opuodubowei of Kabowei kingdom, Chief Victor Ekiye to GbaramatuVoice.

The chiefs used the medium to welcome the action Governor to Kabowei Kingdom in Patani Local Government Area of Delta state.

The chiefs stated further that the ceremony calls for celebration after passing through rigorous process of selection in line with the custom and tradition of Kabowei people. 

The emergence of the monarch, who is the youngest in the entire Ijaw nation, has finally filled the vacuum created by the exit of the former monarch, HRM Capt. Lucky Erebulu, who joined his ancestors two years ago.

Expected at the event are, the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson; the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro; His Imperial Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II, Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom; Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and host of others.
