Okerenkoko Community Executive Presents One Year Scorecard

…”Plans underway to empower youths and women” – Oturubo

The Hon. Kingsley Akpos Oturubo led Okerenkoko Federated Community Executive in Gbaramatu Kingdom has presented its score card in its first year in office.

In a statement signed by the chairman, he disclosed that they had within their first one-year in office judiciously used the limited resource at their disposal to effect monumental development and transformation in the community.

He gave kudos to the people for the confidence reposed in his team and equally used the opportunity to give account of their stewardship for their first year which he said has been not just eventful but fruitful.  

In his words, “it is exactly one year today 16th June 2018, we took over leadership of this great community to deliver the dividends of good governance to all sons and daughters of this great community. And twelve months down the line, this present executive is pleased to announce that we have brought monumental development to the people using the limited resources at our reach.”

Giving details of their activities, Oturubo explained that his  executive have upon the assumption of office carried out a comprehensive renovation of their dilapidated town hall, and have furnished it with state of the art chairs, tables, electrical/communication gadgets for effective communication. 

Continuing, he added that this was followed by the building of a wooden bridge to provide an easy access for the students of the community secondary school that  had experienced difficulty getting to their school.

Other feats achieved he pointed out includes, but not limited to, free delivery of stationeries to the students in the community for enhanced learning and attracting the building of base station by a mobile network provider.

The Executive he added within this period under review built, equipped, and handed over an ICT for the community use while construction of a  radio and security house are ongoing. 

While informing the gathering that plans are underway to empower the women and youth with various skill and also provide them with micro-credit loans to enhance their business, the community executive pledged total commitment to the people and the development of the community.

Responding, Apostle (Dr.) Maware Haggai (JP), on behalf of the community thanked the members of the executive for their superlative performance and thereafter urged them to do more.
