NWA INAUGURATES NEW UNIT IN GBARAMATU

Gbaramatu Federated Professional Welders and Fitters Association, under the aegis of Nigeria Welders Association, NWA was inaugurated in Oporoza, the traditional headquarter of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State by the Zonal Chairman of the Association.

The inauguration took place on the 24th of April 2017 with Zonal and other leaders of the Association heavily present.

Those inaugurated are Comr. Kelvin Mulade, Chairman; Comr. Thompson Igere, Vice Chairman; Comr. Kosenen Kuro-emi Godspower, Secretary General; Comr. Anthony Pudie, Public Relations Officer; Comr. John Odu, Assistance Secretary; Comr. Blessing Ojo, Financial Secretary; Comr. Juliet Edi, Treasurer and Comr. Kano Iseleowei, Technical Adviser.

In his speech during the inauguration, Chairman, Nigeria Welders Association, Delta State Zone, Comr. Emmanuel Okorodudu urged the new Executives to build a well structured and strong body, stressing that members interest must be defended at all cost.

He said every member of the Association in Gbaramatu kingdom must be carried along, adding that victimization of any kind should be resisted in the new unit in Gbaramatu kingdom.

While describing welders as hub of the Oil Industry earlier in his opening speech, Comr.  Okorodudu promised to work vigorously and  closely with the new unit Executives in affecting lives of the youths positively in Gbaramatu Kingdom.

In his acceptance speech, Comr. Kelvin Mulade thanked Nigeria Welders Association, his colleagues and God for giving him the opportunity to serve.

In a further interview with Gbaramatu Voice correspondent, the newly inuagurated Chairman promised to build a formidable body in Gbaramatu kingdom, with a view to protecting and defending members’ interest.

Also fielding questions from Gbaramatu Voice correspondent, the newly elected Secretary General, Comrade Kosenen promised to work hand in hand with his Chairman in building a formidable association in the Kingdom.

The secretary alleges that, taking slots of welding and fitting jobs from oil companies in Gbaramatu Kingdom out has come to an end, promising that the unit Executives would fight that with all within its  powers.

It would be recalled that this is the first time that Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State would be getting a welders unit.

The inauguration was attended by Delta State Zone Executives, Nigeria Welders Association, Escravos Branch Executives, Unit A and B, Nigeria Welders Association, amongst others.
