NMU: Plans underway to suspend students captured in viral video

The management of Nigerian Maritime University (NMU) Okerenkoko in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state over the leaked video of the deplorable state of the institution with a view to sanction students captured in the video.

According to our source, chances are that the affected students may be sanctioned by the school authorities.

The referenced video which went viral on the night of Wednesday March 29, 2023, captured the student of the school scooping water for their domestic use from unhealthy sources.

The students were seen in the video lamenting their ordeal in the school, particularly the inability of the school authority to provide them with water and electricity.

Meanwhile, stakeholders have called on the school management not to contemplate any form of punishment or victimization against the affected students as it is within the ambit of their right to speak up and protest any form of deprivation suffered in the school.
