Otuaro Remains My Running Mate In 2019—Gov. Okowa

Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa says his Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, who he held out as “reliable since inception in 2015, remains my running mate in my 2019 re-election bid”.

Governor Okowa disclosed this, Wednesday, at Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of Warri South-West Local Government Area (LGA), when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagged off its chairmanship/councillors election campaign in the area.

While thanking the people and tasking them to re-enact their usual huge support for the PDP in the January 6, 2018 council polls, Governor Okowa assured that his SMART Agenda will positively impact on all parts of the state and sued for peace.

“I appeal to the people of Ogbe-Ijoh, Aladja and Isaba long engaged in inter-communal crisis, to sheathe their swords. Government will soon be out with a blueprint to resolve the disputes and would thenceforth be decisive in dealing with attempts to jeopardise our peace agenda”, Okowa stated.

Impressed by the mammoth crowd at the campaign flag-off, the Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, who hails from Warri South-West LGA, said: “Warri South West LGA has remained a stronghold of PDP since 1999 till date and has always given the party the highest votes among councils in the country. Let us deliver 99% votes to the PDP candidates in the coming council polls”.

Otuaro said Delta State was lucky to have as Governor, Senator (Dr.) Okowa, who has displayed administrative acumen and financial prudence leading to human capital and infrastructural development of the state. He charged the chairmanship and the councillorship standard bearers of the PDP to put the interest of the people above self upon assumption to office.
