OKERENKOKO LISTED IN WORLD MAP-DELTA DEPUTY GOVERNOR

  • We will revamp education, infrastructure – new chairman

Delta State Deputy Governor, Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro has said that Okerenkoko community is one of the fortunate communities that listed not only in Nigeria map but in world map.

The Deputy Governor disclosed this today at the inauguration ceremony of new executives of Okerenkoko Federated Community, held in Okerenkoko.

The Deputy Governor who was also Chairman of today’s inauguration said Okerenkoko is such a popular and influential community, stressing that the people therein never knew of this

While congratulating out-gone executives for a successful tenure and a work-well-done, Barrister Otuaro urged the people of Okerenkoko to cooperate with the new executives in order for them to be successful, adding that the new executives alone cannot do the job.

Those inaugurated are Hon. Kingsley Akpos Oturubo, Chairman; Comrade Alex Governor, Vice Chairman; Egnr. Victor Ebikonde Sokoto, General Secretary; Comrade Odu Richard Uyadofegha, Financial Secretary.

Others are Super Nanadiagha, Public Relations Officer; Daniel Irowho, Chief Organizer; Comrade Jackson Aranmusi Sokoto, Chief Auditor amongst others.

While chatting with GbaramatuVoice, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Hon. Kingsley Akpos Oturubo stated that his newly led executives would herald in a new era in Okerenkoko community.

He said his new executives has vision of revamping education both in Primary and Secondary levels, adding that they would also sponsor Okerenkoko youths to higher education.

Hon. Oturubo adding that his executives would embark on infrastructural development and youths empowerment in form of training in different fields with a view to engaging them gainfully.

The new chairman promised to liaise with government in creating a mutual relationship between the government and the community.

He also promised to redeem the Okerenkoko image that has been misrepresented to the outside world.

Also speaking, the newly inaugurated secretary, Engr. Victor Ebikonde Sokoto said the days of Okerenkoko been seen by the outside world as hot spot has gone.

He said, as a youth, he was ready to work with Okerenkoko youths to make sure a peaceful atmosphere is created in the community and in Gbaramatu kingdom particularly in this period that a federal institution is about to commence.

He stated that peace is nonnegotiable and Okerenkoko community had embrace it for long.

Earlier, out-gone chairman of the community, Chief James Tangbowei thanked God Almighty and the people of Okerenkoko for giving him and his executives the opportunity to serve in various capacities.

He said there is always a time to start something and end it hence his tenure has come to an end with huge success, advising that the new executives should continue the legacy his tenure left behind.

Chief Tangbowei advised the new executives to stand firm, committed and be trustworthy in their various capacities.

Today’s inuaguration was attended by Chief Prince Emma Agbaduba, Chairman, PDP, Delta South Senatorial district; Hon. Kelly Pinawei, Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on NNDC affairs; Chief (Hon.) Bosin Ebikeme, Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on oil and gas.

Others include, Hon. George Ekpemupolo, Chairman, Warri South West Local Government Council; Chief (Mrs.) Vero Tangbowei amongst others.
