His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaran 11, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom has advised children of the kingdom to be humble and study hard under their teachers, stressing that they stand to achieve much in the nearest future if they do.
 
The Pere who gave this advice in Oporoza while playing host to the Children on this year Children’s Day, also advised them to be obedience, respectful and be hardworking in their studies .
 
While assuring the children of all necessary parental support in their academics, the monarch counselled them to be good ambassadors by desisting from all forms of evils even in their Secondary and post Secondary Schools.
 
This year Children’s Day which took place at the Pere’s modern pavilion in Oporoza, had activities such as matchpass by Gbaran Grammar School and Fiyewei Primary School pupils, Oporoza, poem and bible recitations, cultural dance, quiz, amongst others.

 This year’s quiz which was centred on English language and General subject, had pupils from Foundation group sponsored by Engr. Kestin Pondi, and Community group, sponsored by Oporoza community Chairman, Mr. Demenbi Johnbull.
 
The quiz, whose participants were all drawn from Fiyewei Primary School ended in 32 to 30 scores in favour of Engr Kestin’s group.
 

Up and coming artiste such as Zion Man, Liz Berg, Darling Gid, Perez et al performed live at the occasion while MC Warri Man, MC Abioka were no left out in entertaining the Children.
 
This year Children Day was attended by Chiefs, Mothers, hip hop artistes, stand-up comedians and host of others.
