Martin Luther King Day: SAF, others caution Deltans against indiscriminate refuse dump

Martin Luther King Jr Day: Shedrack Agediga Foundation cautions Deltans over littering of state

In commemoration of the World’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 17, 2022, Shedrack Agediga Foundation, SAF along with other sister foundations have disclosed their readiness to collaborate with various Local Government Areas across Delta state in enhancing cleanliness of the state and also sensitized traders of Effurun market to desist from dumping refuse in unauthorized places.

This is coming even as the foundation cleaned up Effurun market in Uvwie Local Government Area in the state, emulating the cleanliness, peace and love demonstrated by late King.

GbamramatuVoice gathered that Martin Luther King Day is celebrated and remembered across the world with different activities to spice up the day.

This year’s theme is titled “Creating the beloved Community.”

Speaking shortly after the exercise, the Founder of SAF, Dr. Shedrack Agediga, stated that everyone is out to work in respect of their social status in order to honour Martin Luther and, as such, he advised everyone to be of good conduct while working on the field, stressing that when they work in love and harmony the expected results would be achieved on time with the speed of light.

“There is alot to do and it can only take determination by leaders to do that. The Uvwie Local Government Council should try its best in coordinating the affairs of the market so as not to litter the environment.

“The local government council should be oriented, the people living in this council should ensure that nothing is left undone, otherwise it will be like taking us back to Egypt where we have left, and it will be too bad for us if the local government consider any formal collaboration with us, we are ready to do that.
