March 18th Delta Governorship Election: Who will save PDP, APC, others from the Labour Party tsunami?

March 18th Delta Governorship Election: Who will save PDP, APC, others from the Labour Party tsunami?

Going by the recent result of the Saturday, February 25, 2023 Presidential Election in the state which gave the Labour Party (LP) a distance lead of 341,866, votes, PDP-161,600, APC-90,183 and NNPP-3,122, among others, it is obvious that a new political structure and players have emerged in the state.

Chief Great Ogboru, Governorship Candidate in the state on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and a grassroots politician is another personality that should be worried over the sudden invasion of Delta political space by the Labour Party.

However, as the state races towards this ALL important March 18 governorship and state House of Assembly elections, GbaramatuVoice raises the following questions: Will Labour Party’s Tsunami sweeps PDP from the Osadebe House after 24 years of residency? Will it also prevent Omo-Agege, the APC governorship candidate from entering the Osadebe House that he has dreamt of for a very long time?

Is Omo-Agege capped with the needed political war chest to stop the politically ravaging youths and market women of Labour Party extraction who are insisting on a new political order in the state?

Is the Labour Party faithful trying to cut short the hope and aspiration of Omo-Agege, Sheriff Oborevwori, among others in the forthcoming gubernatorial election?

Will Chief Great Ogboru uses his grassroots mobilization strategies to save the state from falling completely into the waiting hands of the Labour Party?

What or who will save PDP from this impending and imminent disgrace in the hands of a new political entrant called Labour Party? Did PDP and APC and APGA ever think that a day such as this will come in the state’s political history?
