A man whose name was given as Owei Edun from Ajakurama community in Egbema Kingdom of Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State has committed suicide, after impregnating his daughter.
Edun was residing at Jones Creek in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
He was said to have committed suicide because of shame after his daughter put to bed on Monday, May 18, 2020.
According to eyewitness, Edun committed suicide due to shame and insults coming from his younger kids and their pregnant sister.
Eden was also said to be perplexed when information got to his family members from Ajakurama who threatened to come to Jones Creek in order to take him to his home town and punish him as tradition demanded.
Another eyewitness also said that Eden’s people accused the indigenes of Jones Creek of killing him.
It was also gathered that before his death, Eden had called his brother, Mr Oyile from Sapele at late hours to help take care of his children, stressing that the journey he was about to embark on would be a long one because he won’t return.
However, Eden left three wives and children to mourn him.
