Keyamo asks police to release videographer behind Delta viral Special Anti-Robbery Squad video

By Joshua Williams

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, SAN, has asked the police to release the videographer behind the Delta viral Special Anti-Robbery Squad video that alleged the killing of one person by SARS operatives in Ughelli, in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of the Delta State.

The video had sparked tension within and outside Delta State, as it led to a mob attack on an off-duty SARS operative, Sergeant Ohwovwiogor Fidelis, at the Ughelli Central Garage area.

Detectives from the command had reportedly trailed the videographer to his Ughelli residence where he was picked up and detained.

However, Keyamo, in a tweet described the arrest of the videographer as “purely a case of leaving the substance and chasing shadows.”

He stated, “I urge the police to release this gentleman and drop all charges against him.

“His wrong judgment of the victim’s state nonetheless; by recording the incident and releasing it, he did a patriotic duty as a citizen.”
