REBUILD AGGE COMMUNITY, YOUTH LEADER TELLS FG

WARRI -President of Agge and its Federated Youth Movement, Comrade Andy Forcados Etimigba aka Aloko have appealed to President Muhammadu to consider the rebuilding of the Community in Kou Kingdom, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The President made the disclosure to Gbaramatu Voice Newspaper at Agge while celebrating its survival party from the military invasion that saw the destruction of the community in 2008.

Etimigba argued that Agge Community unlike other invaded communities in the Niger Delta, did not see any structure built by the federal Government as was done in some other places but noted that only relief materials where brought to the town as at then.

In his words ” I am using this medium to call on President Buhari to please come to our aid by rebuilding Agge Community. When this town was bombarded in 2008, the federal government after bringing relief materials to the town also took measurements of our bombarded houses with a promise to rebuild the settlement and other important projects, but till date, it is so shocking and sad to note that the Government have not done anything about it, so today which marked the day that the terrifying incident happened, we are calling on the Government to keep to their promise by coming to rebuild our community as was done in some other bombarded towns”.

Comr. Andy further explained that the survival party is necessary as the community have since made it part of their tradition to be celebrated annually and alleged that human casualties were almost zero which was not the case in some other bombarded communities in the region.
