Ode-Itsekiri: Ameye Golly vows to reorientate youths against cultism

By Loveth Ojogun

The new chairman of Ode-Itsekiri Community’s Employment/Development Committee, Jonathan Ameye Golly, has vowed that his leadership would eradicate cultism and gambling among youths in the Itsekiri ancestral home, promising to also sustain the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the Warri-South Local Government coastal community.

Golly, who gave the assurance at Ode-Itsekiri during the inauguration of the committee, stressed that his leadership would make a positive difference and carry everybody along in order to attract development to Ode-Itsekiri Community.

While pledging his loyalty to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, elders of the community and the constituted authorities in the task of moving the community forward, Golly solicited the support of the Warri monarch, Warri chiefs, elders and the community management committee, to enable them succeed in their assignment.

Chairman of Big Warri (Ode-Itsekiri) Community Management Committee, Patrick Yalaju, who performed the swearing-in ceremony of the new Employment/Development Committee, urged the Golly-led executive to work harder than the immediate past leadership and be united so as to achieve the goal of developing the Warri historic town.
