Says, he’s not yet done with Delta South Senatorial Seat

“I have consulted heaven and earth”

The Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District of Delta State at the upper legislative chambers, Senator James Manager has declared his intention to vie for the same political office come 2019.

James Manager made this disclosure yesterday during the Delta South Senatorial District Mega Rally of  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), held in honour of the Executive Governor of Delta state, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and his deputy, Barr.  Kingsley Burutu Otuaro at Oleh Township Stadium, Oleh.

According to the Senator, after wide consultations with various stakeholders in the Delta South Senatorial District and the positive responses received so far, he decided to make his intention known in order to lay to rest speculations making the rounds.

In his words, “I want to state clearly that I have consulted with Heaven and the Earth which of course includes the various stakeholders of the district, and after this due diligence, I, barrister James Manager hereby declare my willingness to re-contest for the Delta South Senatorial  position come 2019.”

He added that what happened today (yesterday) is a right step taken in the right direction as Governor Okowa has performed beautifully well n the state; a feat he added will make 2019 electoral contest a walkover for the governor.

“I have accompanied Governor Okowa to commission a lot of projects in the riverine areas. And so he is invaluable to our people. We have never had this type of platform in Delta South,” he stated.

The mega rally was held in honour of His Excellencies, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, the executive governor and deputy governor respectively, to appreciate their development strides in the state as well as to endorse the duo for a second term come 2019.
