He stated this while speaking with our correspondent shortly after the opening ceremony of the campaign office,

Mulade explained that the divine project of his campaign is set to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people through quality representation and the propagation of peace, and that informed the naming of the campaign office as ‘Peace and Unity House’.

In his words, “I want to use this opportunity to inform all of you that we did not just flag off for the Delta State House of Assembly to represent the good and hardworking people of Warri South West; we are committed and dedicated to this mission and that is why we dedicate it to God Almighty and we said it’s a ‘divine project’.

Continuing, he pointed out that in the 25 local government areas of Delta state, Warri South West need peace and unity most

The environmentalist turned politician further told the gathering that he will ensure that the desired development, the desired progress, the desired success is achieved, and that is why he is vying for the position.

He, therefore, went further to  highlight some of his plans if given the opportunity, which includes according to him includes but not limited to the pursuit of peace, educational development, discovering of talents through organizing sports tournaments, capacity building in youths and addressing environmental injustice;

Going philosophical, Mulade stated thus; “I strongly believe that peace in Warri South West, particularly Ogbe-Ijoh, is peace in Delta state and peace in Delta state is peace in Nigeria.

Part of my reason for going to the house is to bring peaceful coexistence among the ethnic groups in Warri South West. Every benefit, every entitlement, as far as Warri South West is concerned will be fairly shared to the Wards and the communities equally, he added.

He stressed that if given the opportunity, he will pursue educational development because education is key and If everyone or every citizen of this local government is educated, I don’t think some of the challenges we are confronting today will be facing us.

Another area of interest he told gathering will be sports development. “I will by your support organize sports tournament that will ensure that sons and daughters of Warri South West will be part of the National Team soonest.

Environment protection and justice, he said will also be at his front burner as the entire riverine communities of Warri South West has been bastardized, our ecosystem has been destroyed, and our traditional occupation of fishing and farming has been eroded.

Comrade Mulade, therefore, reiterated his resolve to come up with enabling laws that will put the oil prospecting in check as well as hold the operators accountable for the misdeed.

In the same vein, he stressed that he will see to it that government will address the youth unrest as it is fundamental peace.

When reminded that there are other contestants in the race, the Comrade responded this way;

“Well, for me, I have 95 percent advantage over all other aspirants because I am a grassroots man; I have been working with my people; I live with them and I stay with them. I do not have political godfather; I do not have a political godmother. But God is my Godfather. Therefore I am more than all of them.

“I will also tell you that on the issue, maybe when you want to look at building peace around this vicinity, I have a brighter chance above every other person because I work with my people,“ Sheriff added.
