By Our Correspondent

President Muhammadu Buhari has told the Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli that he has not forgotten how Delta state voted for him in the February 23 presidential election, especially those from Itsekiri.

“I have all the figures of votes I got and I know what Itsekiri people did,” Buhari said.

Mr. President also reiterated his promise of his government commitment to complete on-going people-oriented projects.

Buhari said this on Wednesday, July 31, when he received King Ikenwoli at the State House, Abuja.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the president, Chief Femi Adesina, the president also said that his government had the security challenges facing the country at heart but has a new measure to tackle the challenges.

However, GbaramatuVoice gathered that “the traditional ruler who had earlier spoken through Chief Brown Mene, congratulated the president on his electoral victory and commended him for his successes so far in the battle against insurgency and his continued determination to tackle corruption.

“While also praising the president for dredging works on the Escravos and Warri Rivers, the Olu of Warri requested for intervention on some ecological problems in his domain as well as the resolution of issues surrounding the Ogidigben Gas Revolution Park.”
