Comrade Jackson Timiyan, the Personal Assistant (PA) to the Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Favour Izoukumor, has endorsed the aspiration of Emomotimi Dennis Guwor to represent Warri South West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

According to him, Guwor “has all it takes to deliver the needed dividends of democracy in Warri South West LGA through quality representation in the DTHA.”

Going further, he urged “all Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithfuls, particularly the statutory delegates and others alike in Warri South West LGA to vote and support Hon. Guwor in the forthcoming PDP primaries and beyond.”

While listing some of the qualities that he felt has placed Guwor in good stead to be elected as a lawmaker, Timiyan stated: “Leadership is all about service delivery and not necessarily about being loud and concentrating on the mundane such as cheap propaganda and character assassination of perceived political opponents and rivals which is a common place in the Nigeria political milieu.

“It is instructive to state that the most striking qualities of a good leader are loyalty and competent followership. This simply implies that ‘every good leader must first be a good follower’.

“However, in contemporary times people want to lead without requisite followership qualities and pedigree.

“These sterling qualities of good leadership speak volume of the young, vibrant and humble gentleman, Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor when taking a dim view of his humble background and political antecedents and ascendancy.”
