Group Donates Fifty 3-Seater Desks To School In Ogulagha Kingdom

As a way of contributing to the socio-economic wellbeing of the community, the members of Ogulagha Kingdom Forum, WhatsApp group has donated fifty (50) 3-seater desks to Sokebolou Secondary School, Sokebolou, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Making the donation today (Friday 17th November) were Comr. Ekpos Okuwanze and Comr. Victor Isereke, both executive members of the group.

In his remark, Comr. Okuwanze explained that this is a self-help initiative by members of their WhatsApp forum.

In his words, “Our target is to raise 100 desks; 50 each to the two secondary schools in our kingdom; while we make this presentation today, the ones for Ogulagha Secondary School are near completion and will be presented to the school authority later this year.

In the same token, Ekpos Okuwanze pointed out that what the group is doing is to go a little beyond rhetoric and provide the needed pragmatic solutions to the societal challenges.

He further explained that as at the point of making this presentation, arrangement is in the final stage to carry out Anti-Drug abuse campaign in conjunction with the Shedrack Agediga Foundation and Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council.

Responding to this gesture, the principal of the school, Mr. C. R. Isabor thanked members of the Ogulagha Kingdom Forum Whatsapp group for their selfless gesture.

He stated that if initiatives such as this are sustained, it will go a long way to make the kingdom a better place.

Mr. Isabor, therefore,  pleaded with the representatives of the Ogulagha Kingdom Forum, Whatsapp group to prevail on those in charge of the school bus to put in more efforts for its smooth operation adding that students are subjected to walk over 6 kilometers to attend school and cover same distance home daily. 

Joined in this presentation were; Mr Benjamin Gende, Mr Alvin Alaye, and Comr. Clever Igere.
