Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has announced the disqualification of all PDP chairmanship aspirants in Degema Local Government Area.
The disqualification of all the Degema PDP Chairmanship aspirants is premised on their involvement in violence during the councillorship primaries.
A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media quoted the governor as saying that the disqualification will serve as deterrent to other politicians who are involved in violence.
