Former NAEC boss, Osaisai, declares interest in Bayelsa governorship election

By David Ebikeme

A former Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC), Franklin Erepamo Osaisai has made public his enthusiasm to contest in the Bayelsa State governorship election coming up on November 16.

Osaisai made his interest known during a church service at the St. John’s Anglican Church, Koluama, in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

Clerics, traditional rulers from Koluama Council of Chiefs, community members and associates of Osaisai, were among those who attended the service.

In his speech christened, ‘Solemn Declaration of Interest’, Osaisai divulged that he found it necessary to declare his interest for the governorship in the church because this was where his humble beginning started.

Osaisai, who was also a former University of Port Harcourt lecturer, said it was God’s grace that picked him as a chorister in the Anglican Church in his village and took him to the zenith of his career, becoming the first chief executive officer of the NAEC.
