Final Whistle: Okowa/Otuaro, going back to the Government House – Ibori

…We shall deliver on our mandate – Burutu Otuaro

In what political watchers described as the decisive declaration of the former governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Chief James Onanefe Ibori yesterday at the Delta South Mega Rally held at the Oleh Township Stadium, assured Deltans and the Peoples Democratic Party members that come 2019,  Okowa will return to the government house in Asaba, the state capital with Barr Kingsley Burutu Otuaro.

Chief Ibori, a former governor of the state and a PDP stalwart made this remark while giving his goodwill message before the mammoth crowd that throng the venue to endorse the 2019 reelection bid of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and His Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro

In his words, “It is clear that our governor is going back to Government House with his Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro.

“Let no one be deceived. They are on the same ticket and we are endorsing both of them today (yesterday) he said.

“The people of Delta South and where the deputy governor comes from have that confidence in the support with what the deputy governor is doing with our Governor. So it is a Kingsley Otuaro and Dr. Okowa’s ticket.” He concluded.

On the performance of the present administration, Chef Ibori stated that the governor Okowa led administration  has done well,

He also used the opportunity to appeal to all contestants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to eschew bitterness and carry out their campaign in conformity with the party rules.

The former governor thereafter congratulated the governor and promised him his support back to Government House.

“On behalf of myself, my clan, my ethnic group and the entire state, I join forces with all the leaders of Delta South Senatorial District to say congratulations to our governor,” he stated

Responding, the deputy governor thanked Chief Ibori for the endorsement while promising to deliver on their mandate.
