FESTIVITIES: OGBINBIRI SET FOR NATIONAL DAY

The people of Ogbinbiri community in Egbema kingdom, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State have concluded all arrangements to host its national day.

This was contained in a statement signed by the duo of Hon. Joel Bisina, National Chairman and Akpasubowei Sule, National Secretary of Ogbinbiri federated community.

They particularly invites members of the general public to grace the epoch making occasion with them, promising that there would be lots of entertaining features and festivities all through the four days period of celebration.

Giving a breakdown of the event, Hon. Joel and Sule stated that the programme marking this year’s Ogbinbiri National Day Celebration will officially commence on 12th of January 2017 to end on the 15th of January 2017.

Speaking further on the event, Mr. Kari Ebipade hinted Gbaramatu Voice Newspaper that what is today known as Ogbinbiri National Day, celebrated by the people of Ogbolubiri started years ago as a yearly wrestling context known as DOUBOERE ADA.

On the significance of the celebration, Mr. Kari Ebipade stated that the philosophical underpinnings that lies on the programme was a period of appraisal on how far the community have fed in the past year; matters will be tabled and critically looked into, fired by the desire to make more progress as a community, they also uses the medium to teach the rich cultural heritage of the Ogbinbiri federated community to all sons and daughters of the community while using the event to attract sons and daughters of the community it know each other better.
