Tompolo’s Legal Victory: Handiwork of God – Doupade

Update on how Tompolo’s Tantita is improving the nation’s economy, making Niger Delta region livable

Renowned environmental expert, Engr. Olaye Messiah Doupade, has described the legal Victory of Chief Government Ekpomupolo aka Tompolo at the Lagos High Court as the handiwork of God.

Doupade disclosed this to newsmen in Warri, Delta state.

In his congratulatory message, he expressed joy to God Almighty even as he thanked the judiciary for standing firm by the truth in the faced of daunting intimidations by enemies in the corridors of power.

He stated that, “Tompolo our illustrious son and brother like we have said repeatedly before now, is a freedom fighter that is fighting for the development of the Niger Delta which has been facing marginalisation from the Federal government and the International Oil Companies operating in the region over the years since 1958 when oil was first discovered in commercial quantity in Olobiri in Bayelsa State.

“The Court Victory has made it clear that our illustrious son Chief Government Ekpomupolo aka Tompolo is indeed innocent but a victim of political traducers who are hell bent on crumbling a very good man for no justifiable reasons.

While emphasing the need to stop throwing tantrums on Tompolo for any reason especially after the Court pronouncement, Engr. Olaye said: “we the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom, the Ijaw Nation as a whole are indeed proud of Tompolo as a worthy ambassador who is standing in the gap for the struggle for the perennial neglect of the Niger Delta people who are treated like second class citizens in their own country .”

Engr. Olaye who reeled out a dossier of the good works of Tompolo amongst other things said: “the evidence of Tompolo magnanimity are replete every where, for example, we have the Tompolo Educational Foundation which gives Scholarship to students to the University level who cannot afford to train themselves due to paucity of funds. Besides that, he went into youth and Women empowerment Programme as they are trained in different vocation after which he will empower them with Start- Up kits to completement Government effort at reducing unemployment.”

The Tompolo Foundation also embarked on health care for less privileged youths women and the elderly people in Gbaramatu Kingdom and across board.

The Niger Deltan Humanitarian Rights Defender asserted that there is no point painting Tompolo in black colour because he is standing for the truth to free his people from the jugular of federal might targeted to perpetually keep the the oil rich region of the Niger Delta underdeveloped.

Speaking further , he recalled: ” when the gallant Isaac Boro of blessed memory started the struggle for the amacipation of the Niger Delta ,this was how the enemies of the region gave him a bad name to justify his repression, that is why we are saying it in clear voice that the Tompolo struggle for the region is indeed a commendable one that need the support of every one with the the DNA of Niger Delta.”

Messiah in a remarkable statement said ; “may I also use this medium to advise those hunting for Tompolo for no reason to turn a new leaf and let the man live his life like every other citizen even as he contributes his own quota to the growth and development of Nigeria his father land.”

He clarified the general public and those who parade themselves as enemies that no man is above the law as we are all guided by the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended as the grandnum within which we are expected to conduct our affairs in line with the principles of the rule of law.

ln his summation, Engr. Messiah the well known Humanitarian Rights Defender said: “l congratulate my brother, High Chief Government Ekpomupolo aka Tompolo, already there is joy in out hearts for this significant and historic victory which God alone has done using the instrumentality of the Judiciary to prove to the whole world that you are indeed not a criminal but a freedom fighter. Our jubilation will go on unabated as we celebrate you Tompolo our dear hero of the Niger Delta struggle.”
