Tebujor community inaugurates new exco, as Tortor emerges chairman

Residents of Tebujor/Okpeleama Community in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state, has inaugurated a new executive council to direct affairs of the community in the next three years.

Those sworn-in were, Mr. Terry Tortor, Chairman; Mr. Wilson Mala, Vice Chairman; Mr. Raphael Toju Erike, General Secretary.

Others are: Mr. Kaduna Ebifagha Aboh, PRO; Mrs. Lilian Oboko, Treasurer and Mr. Ebilade Pamah, Financial Secretary.

Performing the swearing-in ceremony on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in the community townhall, High Chief Anthony Ayebibode, Ebidowei of Gbaramatu kingdom, charged the new executives to work with community leaders and respect constituted authority in the discharge of their duties.

Speaking on behalf of the new executives, Mr. Terry Tortor, thanked the community for the confidence repose on them and thanked Gbaramatu Traditional Council for the successful inauguration.

Tortor also thanked community elders, leaders and the immediate past executives for giving them the opportunity to serve.

He promised to foster unity among the interest groups in the community for the overall development to move the community forward.

He promised that the executives would be transparent and accountable.

The immediate past Chairman, Tebujor Community, Mr. Monday Aboh, expressed gratitude to the community for the privilege to serve and successfully hand over to a new executive.

Members of Gbaramatu Traditional Council present include Chief Isaac Miyebi; Koriwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom; Chief Jeffrey Ojogun, Kurowei of Gbaramatu kingdom; Chief Akin Mala; Chief Fezigha Odu, Peretaretubor of Gbaramatu kingdom; Chief Moses Bebenimibo; Amadiwei/Chairman of Kunukunuma community; Chief Tare Ogah, Amadiwei of Tebujor Community; Chief Ebimobowei Oguma; Amadiwei of Opuedebubor community; Chief Steady Ebigha and host of others.
