Panic as soldiers invade Gbaramatu community, arrest two fishermen

There is pandemonium in Tebujor community, Gbaramatu Kingdom of Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State, following the invasion of the community by armed men believed to be personnel of the Nigerian Army.

It was gathered that security personnel alleged to be operatives of the Joint Military Task Force, JTF, stormed the community with gunboats, on Tuesday evening around 6:00pm and arrested two fishermen from the community, while others ran into the forest for safety.

A member of the community, Kaduna Aboh who spoke to GbaramatuVoice on phone, that the residents have moved to nearby communities to take refuge following harassment from the military personnel, who invaded the area yesterday.

Although, the reason for the invasion was yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
