GbaramatuVoice is a dynamite, says clergy

GbaramatuVoice, a formidable newspaper which sprung up in 2015 and known for its accurate and vivid reporting of events in the Niger Delta, recently at its head office in Warri, Delta State held its corporate thanksgiving service to commemorate her 3rd year anniversary.

Speaking at the event, Dr. I. C. Tolar while commending the Publisher/Editor-In-Chief, Mr. Jacob Abai and his team for the outstanding efforts they have been putting into news coverage, also poured encomiums on the man who noticed the limitations in the reportage of issues in the Niger Delta region and in a bid to correct them brought GbaramatuVoice to life.

In his words: “I am happy today to stand before you and tell you that dynamite don’t come in big packages, they come in small packages; but they can blow up a whole community and city. I am happy to stand here and thank God that my son has come out as a dynamite to blow up what we now see today as GbaramatuVoice.”

The chairman of Ijaw Christian Fellowship (ICF), Rev. Emmanuel Imeleye in offering prayers for the publisher and his team said: “three years you are like this but this is just the beginning. God is taking you to a higher ground.”

In his own remarks, Dr. Oboko Bello stated:“GbaramatuVoice without the Hand of God, wouldn’t have come to be.”

While congratulating the Editor-in-Chief, Comrade Jude Ukori said; “It is our prayer that God will continue to take him higher and higher in Jesus name. We appreciate you, we are proud of you and we encourage you; never will you derail in this cause. In short you are a pacesetter.”

While Comrade Sheriff Mulade in his testimonials said, “the publisher is pushed and driven by passion and the good news is that he has exposed Gbaramatu Kingdom beyond our expectations.”

On his part, Chief Wellington Bobo said, “GbaramatuVoice is growing internationally and otherwise. All of us should endeavor to support and promote the company.” 

Also speaking, Mr. Cletus Opukeme, publisher of Daily Watch said, “GbaramatuVoice is an international paper. When you go to the internet platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and other social media, you will see that the GbaramatuVoice, all along has been doing a great job.”

The Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Jacob Abai, in his acknowledgement, assured all present that GbaramatuVoice would not relent but would continue to grow bigger and better in reporting on the issues of the Niger Delta, as he called on all well-wishers to support the platform as there are still much to be done. 

Meanwhile, the management of the media establishment is putting finishing touches to its preparation to hold the GbaramatuVoice 3rd Anniversary/Award Dinner programme with theme, ‘Niger Delta Beyond Oil: Searching for Sustainable Development’ under the distinguished chairmanship of the former governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan on Tuesday, 11th September 2018 at the KFT Place in Warri.
