GbaramatuVoice Announces 2020 Niger Delta Awards, calls for nomination

Niger Delta is a region replete with men and women of valour, who have done very well in shaping the demands of the county and humanity at large, hence the Board of Editors, GbaramatuVoice, Niger Delta leading and most trusted newspaper, is calling for nominations of personalities for its coveted GbaramatuVoice 2020 Niger Delta awards, in recognition of the contributions and roles played by these exemplary influencers and shapers from the area.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Abuja, and signed by Mr. Jacob Abai, CEO/Editor-in-Chief of GbaramatuVoice Publishing Company Limited, Publishers of GbaramatuaVoice, stated that the nominations would begin by March 1st and would be bench-marked by April 1, 2020.

Abai added that ideal nominees should be Niger Deltans, who have made extra-ordinary contributions to humanity in any field from any part of the continent. 

Winners that will emerge from the snap nominations are expected to be announced ahead of the events lined up in commemoration of the GbaramatuVoice 5th Anniversary, slated for August 11 to 13, 2020 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Categories for nominations are:

(1) Niger Delta Company of The Year

(2) Niger Delta Best Governor of The Year

(3) Niger Delta Deputy Governor of the Year

(4) Niger Delta Youth of The Year

(5) Philanthropist of The Year

(6) Niger Delta Man of The Year

(7) Niger Delta Woman of the Year

(8) CEO of The Year

(9) Entrepreneur of The Year

(10) Institution of The Year 

(11) Niger Delta NGO of the Year

(12) Artiste of the Year

(13) Media Personality of the Year

(14) Niger Delta Company of the Year

(15) Niger Delta Lawmaker of the  Year 

The statement said, each category will have the Editors’ Choice and, People’s Choice.
