Foremost Ijaw Historian, Pa Okirika is dead

Foremost Ijaw historian and the Ama-okosuwei of Benikrukru community in Gbaramatu kingdom, Pa John A. Ogio Okirika has been confirmed dead.

He died at the aged of 91.

The Chairman of Benikrukru Community, Mr. Solomon Eris Odu, disclosed this to GbaramatuVoice on Monday evening.

Odu, stated that the Ama-okosuwei of the community gave up the ghost peacefully in a Warri private hospital at about 12:17pm today (Monday, July 13, 2020).

Burial arrangements will be announced in a later date.
