Buhari appoints Prof. Adigio, new VC Maritime University Okerenkoko (Updated)

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Prof. Emmanuel Munakurogha Adigio as the new Vice Chancellor of the Nigerian Maritime University, NMU, Okerenkoko, Delta State.

Prof. Emmanuel Adigo is the 2nd Vice Chancellor of NMU following his appointment on Wednesday June 24.

According to the letter obtained by GbaramatuVoice dated June 24, 2020, Prof. Adigio appointment takes effect from June 11, 2020. The appointment is a single term of five years.

Prof. Emmanuel Adigio

GbaramatuVoice reports that until his appointment, Adigio was a professor in the Faculty of Engineering, Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa state.

Prof. Adigio obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 from Loughborough University, Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK.

Prof. Adigio hails from Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
