[BREAKING] GbaramatuVoice 6th Niger Delta Awards to hold in Lagos, calls for nominations

Niger Delta is a region replete with men and women of valour, who have done very well in shaping the demands of the county and humanity at large. Hence, the Board of Editors, GbaramatuVoice, Niger Delta leading and most trusted newspaper, is calling for nominations of personalities for its coveted GbaramatuVoice 2021 Niger Delta Awards, in recognition of the contributions and roles played by these exemplary influencers and shapers from the area within the period August 2020 and May 2021.

A statement issued on Monday, April 19th, 2021, in Lagos, and signed by Mr. Jacob Abai, CEO/Editor-in-Chief of Gbaramatu Publishing Company Limited, Publishers of GbaramatuaVoice Newspapers, stated that the nominations would begin by Monday, April 26th, 2021, and would be bench-marked by Monday, May 31st, 2021.

Abai added that ideal nominees should be Niger Deltans, who have made extra-ordinary contributions to humanity in any field from any part of the world.

Winners that will emerge from the snap nominations are expected to be announced ahead of the events lined up in commemoration of the GbaramatuVoice 6th Anniversary, slated for Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Categories for nominations are: Niger Delta Man of the Year; Niger Delta Best Governor of the Year; Niger Delta Woman of the Year; Deputy Governor of the Year; Senator of the Year; Minister of the Year; Reps of the Year; CEO of the Year; Philanthropist of the Year

Others are: Youth Personality of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year; NGO of the Year; Humanitarian Personality of the Year; Activist of the Year; Company of the Year; Diaspora of the Year; Niger Delta Sportsman of the Year; Sportswoman of the Year and Friends of the Niger Delta.

The statement said, each category will have the Editors’ Choice and, People’s Choice.
