WARRI -Popular Ijaw musical gazelle, Chief Barrister Sojawei Smooth have warned his traducers not to tarnish his God given image.
Barrister, gave the warning while reacting to reports that he was not present at the anniversary of the late. Ijaw musical King, Dr. Robert Ebizimor.
According to him, he was shocked to hear from one of his concerned fan from Bayela State updating him on the ongoing event of Late. King Robert Ebizimor anniversary lecture in the state who was said to have wondered on his absence.
Smooth, wondered why he was not informed by his colleagues from the Ijaw musical industry while thanking them dramatically that they should continue to divide the industry.
He maintained that the late. Irreplaceable Musical King was never a politician as he further questioned the manner within which he was celebrated along party lines.
Soja, further apologises to his teaming supporters that went to see him perform but did not see him in that light not to feel bad or worry over it.
This was contained in a statement signed by the living Ijaw musical Icon, Barrister Smooth on his Facebook timeline posted yesterday.
The statement reads in full:
“TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.
“It has come to my notice that some people in our music industry are bent on tarnishing my God given image and name in an evil manner.
“Today, a fan of mine from Bayelsa state who felt so concerned about my absence in the on going Dr. Robert Ebizimor remembrance lecture currently taking place in yenegoa, called to find out what went wrong, and I was shocked because I was not duly informed on the happening by any body, not even my colleagues in the industry.
“It sounds so absurd to me and I want to use this medium to thank all those who are creating division in the Ijaw music industry to continue doing so, but they should also remember that nothing last forever.
“I am so embarrassed to hear that such event has gone political, and I want to state clearly that King Robert Ebizimor was not a politician, rather he was a legend, and Oracle of Ijaw nation, a father to all.
“I am so surprised to see and hear that some people have decided to turn this great annual event into political party affiliation, in such a way that if you are not a supporter you cannot be invited.
“I am using this medium again to apologize to my esteem fans, friends and well wishers who attended the event in other to see me performed not to worry, or neither feel bad, but rather they should go ahead and enjoy the event because we are celebrating a father and a legend.
” I also want to thank the organisers for making this event an annual event.”
He however, prayed for the Ijaw Nation and it’s musical industry.
