Delta: Water hyacinths occupy Egbema communities

Water hyacinths were reportedly on rampage in waterways at Egbema kingdom in Warri North Local Givernment Area of Delta State, making the inhabitants susceptible to inherent danger.

Our reporter noted that the water hyacinths were spotted in Opuama, Polobubou, Ogbinbiri, Ogbudugbudu and among other communities along the Benin river areas of Egbema, making it difficult for residents to have entree to their communities and Sapele due to the weeds.

We gathered at the time of filing this report that fishing, boat transportation and other commercial activities known of  Egbema-Ijaw people were crippled due to the inherent danger.
