DELTA LG POLLS: Warri South West chairmanship hopeful, Ogugu, begins consultation, receives royal blessing

Warri South West Local Government Area frontline chairmanship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming council’s election in Delta state, Engr. Don Dickson Ogugu, has begun full consultations with the party stakeholders and his kinsmen in the area.

Ogugu, an indigene of Isaba, Ogbe-Ijoh and Diebiri kingdoms went on a consultation visit to His Royal Majesty, Ogbobere Isoun VI, Pere of Isaba Kingdom, with his entourage on Saturday, August 12, 2023, to receive a royal blessing over his chairmanship ambition.

At the Palace of Pere of Isaba Kingdom, the youth leader said his intention to contest for the chairmanship position in Warri South West local government is to ensure even distribution of amenities, transparency in managing the council’s resources, amongst others.

He solicited for the royal father’s blessing, encouragment, support of all his kinsmen and promised to be fair to all indigenes of Warri South West.

While receiving the chairmanship hopeful and members of his team, the monarch expressed delight for the aspiration of Ogugu, saying he has his full backing to contest in 2024.

During the visit, the king described Ogugu as a man of character, virtue and courage.

The king prayed for the success and protect of the chairmanship hopeful during and after the electioneering campaigns.

Some of the chiefs present at include the Esama of Isaba Kingdom/Chairman PDP Delta South Senatorial, High Chief Dr Julius Takeme; High Chief Anthony Waredemebo, the Ubayagbor of Isaba Kingdom; Chief Henry oforleyon, Central Chairman/Ibediwei of Isaba Kingdom; Chief Isaiah Tuboh; Chief Charles Ekpenzukumor; Chief Arthur Segha; Chief Nath Timioko, among others.
