Delta LG election: Warri South West chairmanship aspirant promises to develop Ijaw, Itsekiri communities

Engr. Faith Mamamu, a chairmanship aspirant, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, has promised to commit all his leadership experience and influence to develop the area.

He also promised to liaise with all the traditional leaders, leaders of thought, political leaders and the councillors at the local level to develop Ijaw and Itsekiri areas together if elected as the Chairman of the local government in the 2024 local government council election in the State.

Mamamu, made this known during a consultative visit with his teeming supporters on Saturday to the Pere of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, HRM King Couple Oromoni, Mobene III, at his palace in Ogbe-Ijoh town, headquarters of the Warri South West Local Government Council Area, to seek for royal blessings of the palace as he commences preparation for the 2024 election.

He said; “I have waited too long to lead the people and knows he would do better.

“My mission to the monarch, Mamamu said: “The Ijaws, the Itsekiris, our neighbors are working together, as you can see this movement is made up of all the tribes, the Ijaws, Itsekiris and Urhobos, development is my agenda and that is my dream.

“I will liaise with all the traditional leaders, leaders of thought, political leaders and the councillors at the local level to put ideas together to develop the area.

“Politicians who make promises are human beings also, adding that not all promises they can fulfill but to fulfill the ones they can with the help of God, adding that he would try to fulfill his own Promises if elected,” the statement added.

However, the royal father offered prayers to God to grant the aspirant the desire of his heart in the forthcoming election.

Meanwhile, HRM Mobene III, Pere Amakosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom and an array of Ogbe-Ijoh traditional council of chiefs; Chief Sylvester Tiebebedigha JP; Chief Anthony Jolomi; Chief John Ajemitolu; Chief, Mrs. Elejaere Eredigha; Chief Baotu Bello; Chief Broderick Donokoromo and a host of others were all present at the occasion.
