As the 2023 general elections approach, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsely Otuaro, has paid a consultative visit to delegates and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Aniocha South Local Government Area, to intimate them of his plans to succeed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa come 2023.

GbaramatuVoice recalls that Otuaro has visited other PDP leaders in UDU, Ughelli, and other local government areas to also intimate them of his gubernatorial ambition.

Speaking on his visit to the PDP leaders and delegates in Ogwashi-Ukwu, the deputy governor stated that he intends to succeed the Senator Ifeanyi Okowa administration because he wants to preserve some of the legacies which had already been built.

Otuaro said: “These beautiful legacies that we have so put in place in this state could be preserved, will be advanced. That is the dream of every worthwhile party leader. Some governments come in and the society retrogressed. I dare say as an integral part of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa led government that truly we have done well within the limits of resources available to us as a state and it is only reasonable that if a man has done well that the person replacing him will acknowledge that he has done well and improve on the previous work done.”

He also pointed out that he understands the policies and programs of the government and he intends to increase these programs if he gets the mandate of the party and wins the election come 2023.

Otuaro also lamented on the state of unemployment in the country and he assured that under his watch as governor of Delta State, he will curtail and arrest this development.

In his speech, the Chairman of the PDP in Ogwashi Ukwu, Prince Mike Ofukwuleze, appreciated Oturao for his visit but he stated that the party members in Ogwashi-Ukwu will only follow the directions of Senator Governor Ifeanyi Okowa come 2023.
