DALUNG VISIT: AVENGERS ARE NOWHERE AROUND OUR TERRITORY EXCEPT THE MINISTER PERSONALLY BROUGHT THEM TO OPOROZA-FHRACC

The diaspora coordinator of the Foundation for Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Crusade (FHRACC), Otuaro Jerry Esq., have stated that the dreaded Niger Delta Avengers is nowhere close to occupy any territory within Gbaramatu Kingdom as against the misleading take of the Honourable Minister, unless he personally brought them to Oporoza.

Jerry in a statement also condemned the actions of the Minister for Youth & Sports, Hon. Solomon Dalung as he described it as wicked, atrocious, barbaric and calamitous to call indigenes of Gbaramatu Kingdom criminals.

The statement further beckoned on the Federal Government, the military and other security apparatus to treat the unholy claim of the Minister with the levity it deserves.

The Barr. also accused the minister for invading the community without pre-informing the leadership of the community on his planned visit.

“The statement by the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, as contained in the Monday, 18th July 2016, edition of Daily Trust newspaper, that he paid a visit to the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu kingdom, Oporoza town to have interactive session with members of the Niger Delta Avengers is prodigiously contemptuous as same is obviously laden with the characteristic of surreptitiously labeling the peace-loving people of Gbaramatu kingdom as criminals. The claim, to say the least, is without doubt a calculated attempt to call a dog a bad name so as to kill it. We make bold to condemn in the strongest term this unholy and unrighteous claim of the Honourable Minister.

“The fact that the Honourable Minister also claimed to have been invited by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, who, based on our investigation, was last seen in the kingdom over four months ago, to visit him at Oporoza, as a means to justifying his invasion of the community, also lend credence to his malaise laden visit. It is wicked, atrocious and calamitous for the Honourable Minister to allow his esteem office to be used by some unscrupulous and political jobbers to achieve their egoistic and self-centred ends.

“It should be on record that the Honourable Minister, who is known too well by all well-informed Nigerians, and a host of other unidentified persons including some well-known political jobbers invaded Oporoza community without pre-informing the leadership of the community of their planned visit. Interestingly, a suprised and unplanned welcome of the strangers, who refused to introduce themselves, was organised by people on ground upon acknowleging the presence of the Honourable Minister but all attempts to ascertain the rationale for their visit was banished on the flimsy excuse anchored on security reasons.

“We see and condemn this unholy claim as it plays the role of a travaux preparatoire for future military invasion orchestrated by those that are headbent in wishing for a genocidal attack on the people of Gbaramatu.

To put the record straight:

“The Niger Delta Avengers is nowhere close or have no occupation of any territory within the Gbaramatu Kingdom as against the misleading take of the Honourable Minister, so he couldn’t have seen and discussed with them at Oporoza unless he personally brought them to Oporoza;

“The activities of the Niger-Delta Avengers and other militant groups are obviously carried out across the nooks and crannies of the Niger-Delta region so that any attempt to beam the searchlight of these criminals solely on the territory of Gbaramatu is clearly a display of preconceived hatred against her people; and

” The peace-loving people of Gbaramatu kingdom cannot and will never harbour nor support criminal elements (Avengers), who are headbent to destroying our common properties, and will continue to distance itself from the activities of the Niger-Delta Avengers.

“We therefore call on the Federal and State governments, the military and all well-meaning Nigerians and others to treat this false and unholy claim of the Honourable Minister with the levity it deserves.” The statement asserted.
