CURBING OIL THEFT: Tompolo meets stakeholders, Niger Delta ex-agitators

…To assist FG curb crude oil theft in the region

No fewer than five thousand ex-agitators and stakeholders from the oil bearing communities in the Niger Delta region are currently in a meeting with the former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo.

It was learnt that Tompolo is to meet with at least 10,000 ex-agitators and enlist them for the smooth and seamless, in line with his resolve to assist the Federal Government end crude oil theft in the Niger Delta region.

GbaramatuVoice gathered that the meeting is ongoing at Oporoza, the ancestral headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state.

The meeting is said to be among other objectives, aimed at assisting a company owned by Tompolo, work out modalities that will curb the rising crude oil theft and vandalism in the region.

Recall that the report of crude oil theft in the region has been on the increase and as part of the efforts to have this ugly situation curbed, the Federal Government enlisted Tompolo for the job.

Analysts believe that the latest decision by the Federal Government was predicated on the fact that the Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan led Federal Government had in the 2012 awarded a similar contract to him which available records point to the fact that he perfumed it perfectly.
