Like the proverbial Eze of the famous novel ‘Eze Goes to School’, the management of the Gbaramatu Publishing Company Limited, publishers of the Niger Delta’s most influential newspaper, the GbaramatuVoice has named Asiayei Enaibo, a senior correspondent with the newspaper as the beneficiary of the scholarship award extended to the media house by Chevron Nigerian Limited.
In view of the above decision by the management, he will on Sunday June 10th proceed to the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, where he hopes to join other participants for the four months intensive course in Advanced Writing And Reporting Skills (AWAREs).
Born on the 18th August 1985 in Ayakoromo town, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Asiayei, is a 2016 English and Literary Studies graduate of the Delta State University, Abraka and College of Education, Warri, where he studied English and Christian Religious Studies (CRS) in 2007.
Asiayei’s nomination according to the management of the newspaper was informed by his diligence to duty and professional sagacity demonstrated since his joining the GbaramatuVoice media house in the year 2015.
On his part, Asiayei, the beneficiary of the programme has expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the GbaramatuVoice and Chevron Nigeria Limited for this priceless opportunity while assuring that this honour has also increased resolve to help the GbaramatuVoice succeed on its goals.
